About ORB Sniper

Built to make you a consistent trader

Most futures traders don't fail because their strategy is wrong. They fail because they break their own rules under pressure — widening a stop, adding to a loser, revenge trading after a loss, chasing an extension instead of waiting for the retest. ORB Sniper exists to make following the rules the path of least resistance: the same disciplined ORB + smart-money playbook, enforced on every session, every day.

What ORB Sniper is

A private, members-only signal terminal for NQ and MNQ futures built on the 15-minute opening range breakout (ORB) strategy, layered with smart money concepts — liquidity sweeps, displacement, fair value gaps, and retest entries. Under the hood it carries a built-in evaluation risk engine and a discipline coach that sizes every trade to a fixed dollar risk and stops you before you break a firm rule. You see signals, levels and risk sizing only after you sign in.

How it works — the consistency loop

Every step of the engine maps to a habit that makes you repeatable. Follow the loop on each session and the discipline runs itself.

1

Pick a session — trade the same playbook

Choose Asia, London or New York. The same ORB + smart-money rules run on all three, each with its own opening-range window and flat-by time. Trading one playbook repeatedly is what builds a real edge — not hopping between setups.

2

Build the opening range, don't pre-empt it

The terminal marks the high and low of the first minutes of the session using your selected range length (1 / 5 / 15 / 30-minute, or the full day). Nothing is traded inside the range — that early chop is noise. Waiting for the range is the first act of patience in the loop.

3

Trade only with the trend

Before any entry, the engine checks VWAP, market structure and daily bias and only trades when they agree. When the signals conflict, it is a no-trade day. Passing on conflicting days is the single biggest reason good ORB traders avoid the losers that wreck an evaluation.

4

Enter on the retest, never the extension

A breakout candle must close outside the range with real displacement, then price must pull back into the broken level or the fair value gap and hold. The retest entry keeps your stop tight instead of chasing the move — which is what turns a 3R trade into a 1R trade.

5

Risk the same dollar amount every trade

You set a dollar risk per trade; the engine converts it to point-based stops and a contract count, adjusted for the day's volatility (VIX-aware). Risk stays constant per trade regardless of symbol or session, so a string of losses can't spiral. If the stop would breach the risk cap, it recommends MNQ or skips the trade.

6

Exit on the 1:1 / 2R / 3R ladder

Take 50% at 1:1 and move the stop to break even, bank a third at 2R, trail the runner toward 3R, and flatten before the session ends. Once the first partial is off, the trade can no longer lose — which removes the emotional exit decisions that break consistency.

7

Every trade is journaled for you

Confirmed signals are pushed to your phone and desktop even when the app is closed, auto-saved to history, and resolved to a win/loss outcome as the session plays out. Your daily P&L, R-multiple, win rate and consistency are tracked automatically — you never have to remember to journal.

8

The engine stops you before you break a rule

A daily loss cap, consistency tracking and discipline warnings block new signals after a losing streak or when you're near the daily budget. The goal is to finish evaluations inside the rules — never to push past them.

Why it was created

ORB Sniper was built by a day trader who kept watching the same rule-breaking blow up evaluations — widening stops, adding to losers, revenge trading after a loss. The discipline was always the weak link, not the strategy. So the app externalizes it: the rules run themselves, the risk is fixed per trade, the signals are capped per day, and the outcomes are tracked automatically. The terminal exists to make repeatable good behavior the default instead of something you have to summon under pressure.

The consistency scoreboard

Every signal is auto-resolved to a win or loss. Your daily P&L, average R, win rate and consistency are tracked automatically so you measure the habit, not just the money. The point is to make repeatable good behavior visible — because what gets measured gets repeated.
